First Time

Following Jesus

Perhaps this is the first time you’ve thought about becoming a Christian. We would encourage you to read Mark’s Gospel and decide who Jesus is. Is He the Son of God? And if He is then we must follow Him.

Jesus calls all people to repent of their sin, that means to say sorry to God for our rebellion against Him. Jesus calls us then to follow Him, to confess Him as Saviour and King of our lives.

If you would like to become a Christian why not pray these words below and come to church this Sunday.

“Dear God, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life, please forgive me for my many sins. Jesus I believe you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross and rose again from the grave to save me. Jesus I want to follow you all the days of my life. Thank you Jesus for the promise that all who call upon your name shall be saved, amen.”

Other verses that you may find helpful:

  • ROMANS 3:23 "All have sinned and fallen short"

  • ROMANS 6:23 "The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ"

  • ACTS 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved"

  • JOHN 10:10 "I have come to give you life to the full"

  • EPHESIANS 2:8&9 "By grace you’re saved through faith”

  • 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 “Jesus became sin for our sake”

  • 1 PETER 2:24 “By His wounds we are healed”

Sunday Worship

Worship - 11am - Portadown Town Hall

When you arrive at church, you will be greeted at the front door by one of our welcome team, please don’t be afraid to ask them questions.

Currently we are meeting in Portadown Town Hall. For any who are not able to use the stairs there is a lift. On street parking is available or there is a large free carpark to the rear of the building accessed via Meadow Lane.

Our service typically lasts around an hour. We sing a combination of Psalms, contemporary and traditional songs with various instruments to accompany. We believe that God speaks to us through His Word, therefore the Bible is taught through systematic expository preaching.

There is no particular dress code. Some people dress casually in jeans and t–shirts, some dress smart/casual, some dress more formally.

A crèche is available for children. All volunteers are Access NI checked and we have a Child Protection Policy available for all to read by request.

At the end of our worship we do encourage people to stay for tea/coffee as it provides an opportunity to get to know one another better.
